There can be few things more relaxing for a yoga addict than doing a bit of yoga on the beach, but before you can go out there and start in with your yoga, you will need to make sure you are taking the proper steps to properly do yoga on the beach!

Clothing: A lot of people make the mistake of trying to do yoga on the beach in the same clothes they would usually wear to the beach, but rather than wearing a small bikini, you would be much smarter wearing the clothes you usually wear for yoga! In this way, you can make sure you are comfortable and have a full range of motion without showing off more of your body than you might have intended to.

Yoga For Anyone!

Time and location: When you do yoga, you want it to be relaxing, but if you end up in an area with a lot of kids running around or college students drinking and yelling, it will not be very relaxing at all! Choose a flat area – preferably with packed sand, such as you will find after the tide has gone out – that is far enough away from all the other action of the beach that you will be able to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Face the sun – or don’t: Although you will often hear yogis advising you to face the sun during your yoga routine – especially when you are doing yoga outside – you can certainly break this rule when you are doing your yoga on the beach! Facing the ocean while doing your yoga can provide the optimal amount of relaxation and unwinding, so if you find this to be the case for yourself, you should not worry about where the sun is so much as you should worry about where the ocean is!

Discover Simple Yoga Secrets!

After you have combined all these things, you can enjoy some yoga on the beach that will help you unwind and relax like nearly nothing else can!

The knowledge most people have of honey extends about as far as “I don’t know, it tastes really good,” but what they fail to realize is that the benefits of honey actually go far beyond just the taste! In fact, one misconception about honey is that it is unhealthy for the body (a misconception that has likely come about due to the fact that honey is sweet and it tastes good), but honey – unless taken in huge quantities – is not unhealthy at all, and in fact has three specific areas in which it is great for the body.

Firstly, honey is a great energy booster; unlike energy boosters that function primarily because of caffeine or sugar, honey provides long-term energy, as it gives the body glucose that kicks in for immediate energy and also gives the body fructose that gives the body sustained energy. In fact, many athletes have even taken to adding honey as part of their workout, or as part of their regimen during competition, because honey is able to give the body that push it needs in order to go the extra mile.

Secondly, honey is a tremendous antioxidant, which means that it helps to build up the immune system, and as it has anti-bacterial properties that can help improve the body’s digestive system while helping you stay healthy and fight off diseases.

Pick up a 4 pack of Ambrosia Pure Honey from the Western Slope of Colorado.

And thirdly, of course, honey is also an excellent way to chase away a number of ailments and diseases when they do come upon you, as the ingestion of honey can help with everything from sore throats to arthritis pain to hangovers – and honey can even be used as an antibacterial agent in dressing cuts and wounds!

Unlike many substances that are “great to add to one’s diet,” but are also difficult to add because of the expense involved, the obscurity of the product, or the poor taste it gives to your food, honey is inexpensive, easy to find, and delicious – and by adding honey as a regular part of your diet, you will reap a great score of benefits!

If you are hoping to lead a healthy lifestyle, one thing that will be important is for you to know how to keep your metabolism sped up to a desirable rate; and in fact, many people are more concerned with “being skinny” than they are with “being healthy,” and this is one of those places where these two goals merge with one another. When you find a way to get your metabolism working at a fast pace, you will be able to keep your body as thin as you want it to be, and you will be able to keep your body as healthy as it should be!

Eating far more often than you usually do is the most seemingly counterproductive way to speed up your metabolism; while many people think that they will put on weight if they eat more often than three times each day, you will actually go a long way in speeding up your metabolism if you eat every three hours or so, consuming small meals during these intervals.

Check out these incredible metabolism secrets!

Getting enough sleep is also a big part of keeping your metabolism sped up – but beyond simply getting as much sleep as your body needs, you should also get this sleep on a regular schedule; when your body has gotten into a rhythm with when it will be awake and when it will be asleep, you will be much healthier, and your metabolism will be much quicker.

And finally, the fluids you put into your body will have nearly as big of an impact on the way your body looks as the food you put into your body; while soda and other sugar-filled drinks will cause you to put on weight, you will actually go in the opposite direction – speeding up your metabolism – when you drink the recommended gallon of water each day.

It is extremely easy to keep your metabolism working at a fast rate – all you have to do is follow these simple tips, and you will be far healthier (and your body will be far thinner!) than you would otherwise be.

If you enjoy riding an exercise bike and are considering purchasing one, you may wish to consider another option first. Do you already own a regular bike? If you do, a bike trainer may be a better route to go. This can save you a lot of money and also a lot of storage space. A trainer attaches to your bike and uses air, fluid, or magnetism to provide resistance similar to biking. They take up very little room in comparison to a normal exercise bike.

The three types of trainers each have their own unique qualities. You will have to determine which fits you best. Wind trainers use a fan to create resistance with the air that you work against. They are the least expensive, however a major downside is the noise generated as you pedal. They work well for beginners because the resistance can be on the lighters side. Resistance is controlled by how hard you pedal.

Magnet trainers are a great mid level trainer. Comparable in price to a wind trainer, they fit better for a beginner to intermediate rider. Quiet in comparison to a wind trainer, they don’t quite match the same level of resistance that a fluid provides.

Fluid trainers are tht top of the line, feeling similar to riding on the road with your bike. They are the most expensive of all three and still have some limitations. The unit uses a “fan” encased in liquid, which creates resistance, however the added complexity of the machine, leads to more wear and tear over time. Some models seem to have a problem with leaking.

When you are getting dandruff on your head, one of the main things this means is that your scalp is dried out, and in order to fix this problem, you need to use shampoo that will keep your scalp from drying out; of course, the problem with this “solution” is that too much shampoo can cause your hair to dry out, which is just as bad as being stuck with dandruff! If you do not actually have a dandruff problem, you should be able to solve the issue by washing your hair a couple times each week with a dandruff shampoo; if, on the other hand, you struggle to fight off dandruff on a regular basis, here are a few things you can consider doing to make the problem go away.

When it comes to chasing away dandruff, of course, the first key is that you wash your hair frequently enough to make the dandruff go away, without washing so frequently that your hair dries out; this balance is different for every person, but you should have a pretty good idea of what this balance is for yourself.

Your scalp and hair will get conditioned to a particular shampoo when you use it on a regular basis, and the shampoo will therefore become less effective; try alternating between two different shampoos in order to avoid this problem, and this alone may be enough to make that dandruff go away for good.

In order to follow each of the first two suggestions, you will need to make sure the dandruff shampoo you are using is strong enough to work when used only twice per week, and while this is the suggested usage for all dandruff shampoos, not all are strong enough to accomplish this for serious cases of dandruff; try some different dandruff shampoos until you find the one that works properly for you!

By simply applying these tips to your own life, you will no longer have to deal with the unsightly flakes or with the annoying itchy head – as your dandruff problem will finally be cleared up for good!

If you are taking a simple, one-night backpacking trip, you will probably be fine to bring nothing but high energy “snack foods” with you on the trail, as these will keep you going until you finish your trip, but if you are going to be going for a longer period of time, you will need something more substantive at least once per day. The problem, of course, is that “something more substantive” often means something heavier and perishable; if you follow these tips, however, you will be able to bring some lightweight, healthy, filling foods for those longer backpacking trips.

Tuna fish: Tuna is one of the best foods out there when it comes to lots of energy and nutrition in a small package; tuna has the additional benefit of being able to be eaten raw, if you do not have a camping stove with you or decide not to build a fire one night. When you bring tuna on the trail with you, make sure you avoid the mistake many people make of bringing canned tuna; get the packaged tuna, as this will weigh less, will not require you to bring along a can opener, and will not force you to figure out how you are going to dispose of that pesky can.

ratwursts: If you are going to be backpacking for several weeks, bratwursts will not be a great food to take along with you, but if you are only going to be going for two or three days, bratwursts will keep in your pack without ice, and they will be a great treat for you to look forward to at the end of the day.

Dehydrated foods: Finally, if you are going on an extended trip, you will want to bring dehydrated foods; with dehydrated potatoes, beans, and even meats, you will be able to carry complete meals with you on your backpacking adventure, without loading down your pack with an excess of weight.

Rather than going for the fancy, high-priced options that actually give you a lot less nutrition and energy than you need on the trails, go with these options, you can replenish your body at the end of each day on the trail without going broke in the process!

Maybe you’ve heard about the weight loss clinics that say you need high doses of vitamin B-12 to lose weight. Do you need to take supplements, and are the shots truly of value?

Vitamin B-12 is necessary for the development of red blood cells, proper neurological functions, and the prevention of anemia. You also need vitamin B-12 for the manufacturing of DNA.

While weight loss clinics claim to have marvelous results from delivering B-12 shots and supplements, there is no hard scientific evidence to back this up. You probably aren’t B-12 deficient (a simple blood test can let you know if you are) and your body is going to store all the extra B-12 until you need it at a future date. Getting a vitamin B-12 shot is not going to enhance your metabolic rate or provide extra energy unless you were truly deficient or anemic, both of which can be proven with a test. Always get advice from a trusted doctor before you start taking vitamin B-12 shots or self-medicate with mega-doses of B-12, especially asking about the interactions of B-12 and medications.

Natural sources of vitamin B-12 are animal products. You don’t need to worry at all if you eat meat, eggs, fortified products, dairy products, or shellfish. Vegans are the ones who run the highest risk of B-12 deficiency because they don’t eat animal products of any kind. Fortified cereals also provide vitamin B-12, making them a good source for vegans.

The recommended allowance of vitamin B-12 is between 2.6-2.8 micrograms per day. You can get this much in a simple bowl of fortified cereal with a cup of milk. If you have a deficiency, you probably have a problem absorbing B-12 or using the B-12 that your body has already stored. Your intestines may not be absorbing B-12 or your body might not be releasing B-12 that you’ve absorbed and stored. It’s uncommon to find B-12 deficiencies in Americans because of our typical diets (high in animal products) and because our bodies can store B-12 for years.

As long as you choose one of these options to go with, it does not especially matter which one you choose! You will be able to drink delicious, clean water at home once you do this, and then you will be able to actually drink as much water as your body requires.
